Through Prayers and Encouragement

Bethel is a family and community church that brings many people together. The love of Jesus is shared among us and God’s word is our focus which has brought many living testimonies through our prayers.

My family and I are newcomers to Canada. We experienced many challenges on integrating into the community. Also, our son fell ill and was hospitalized for months. He could not work or attend school with his brother. The Bethel family supported us through prayers and encouragement.

This is more than a gathering, because God is ever present with us here.

Knowing Jesus for the First Time

My faith journey has been many sided. I was going to church all the time without knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour until the year 1996 when I came to know Him as my Lord and personal Saviour, which was a dramatic turning point in my life.

My family has seen many challenges and testing of the Christian faith which is common to all believers, but God has been faithful in upholding His promises over my life and family. My family and I are deeply grateful to be part of the Bethel church community since arriving in Canada.

My prayer is that the gospel keeps growing in length and breadth beyond our immediate communities to the world.

I Felt God Calling Me to Help

While I have been a lifelong member of a church, I have never felt called by God. That is until shortly after joining Bethel. I am a school bus driver, and when our church began receiving refugees from the local family shelter, I felt God calling me to help. At first there were a few, but as time went on, a bus was needed! God nudged me again, and I drove the bus every week. Since then I have felt God calling me to do more!

We Can Come As We Are

My wife and I like coming to Bethel because we can come as we are and very much feel welcome there. The worship songs are very uplifting, and the messages are focused on our daily lives. We sincerely appreciate the community we experience with our neighbours.
